John K. Silano, RMT

John’s mission is to help his clients live pain-free, happy, healthy lives, and he has dedicated 15 years of his life to doing so. John graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2008. Since then, he has treated clients from around the world and has developed a wide range of skills, techniques, and practical knowledge to help his clients achieve their physical goals.

John has a passion for Sports Massage Therapy. He has worked as trainer and massage therapist with many athletic teams and individual athletes, including the Thompson Rivers University men’s hockey team (the TRU Wolfpack), and at a variety of soccer matches, gymnastics events, crossfit events, marathons, and triathlons.

As a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), John uses a holistic approach by assessing body dynamics and health history to properly treat each individual with specialized techniques that are curated specifically for their condition accompanied by at-home therapeutic exercises to ensure the best healing response.

  • New Patients: $125 (60 Minutes)

    Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to fill out New Patient Forms. Alternatively, you can print them off and bring them with you to your appointment.

    Please bring your Personal Health Number and any supporting documents that may be helpful to your visit. These may include:

    • X-ray, MRI, CT scan or ultrasound results.

    • Doctor’s referral (may be required for reimbursement by your Extended Health Care plan)

    • List of any medications or supplements you are currently taking.

    • Private/Extended Health Care Insurance card (yours and/or your spouse’s if applicable)

    Your appointment time includes:

    • Intake & Assessment

    • Treatment

    • Homecare

    • Future Booking

    • Payment

    To assess you effectively, please wear clothing that is comfortable such as athletic wear (sports bra and shorts for women, shorts for men).

    While on the treatment table, you will be asked to undress to your comfort level and will be covered with a sheet.

    The Registered Massage Therapists will make every effort to ensure that your treatment is safe and effective. The approach to treatment may vary depending upon your condition. At any time before or during treatment, you have the right to ask that the treatment or portion of the treatment be discontinued.

    If you have any questions related to the treatment or techniques used we encourage you to communicate these with your RMT.

  • No, however some insurance providers may require a Doctor’s note for direct billing. Please contact your insurance provider for confirmation.

  • It's best to wear something you are comfortable in, though we can make anything work. It is ideal for men to wear shorts and for women to wear shorts and sports bra.

  • Treatment Frequency can change depending on many factors and can be discussed during any point of the treatment. Together, we will create a treatment protocol that will best suite your goals.

  • No, I encourage strong communication during treatments, so I can adjust pressure to everyone’s comfort level.

  • 24 hour cancellation notice is required. If you do not cancel 24 hours prior to your appointment, you will be charged the full price of your appointment.

  • If you are late for you appointment, please notify me. You will receive treatment for the remaining time of your scheduled appointment and billed for the full amount.

    • Increased cleaning of treatment room, reception area and other shared areas between appointments.

    • Contactless Payment, clean and sanitize POS System after every patient.

    • Emailed receipts for your appointment.

    • Maintaining our high cleaning standards for our clinic, our linens and supplies used during your appointment.
